Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduate role

This amazing opportunity will allow you to put your theoretical knowledge into practise at a lovely primary school in West Yorkshire. You will work under the guidance of the SENCo to support pupils who may have special educational needs. Each pupil will have a learning plan in place carefully devised by the school which you will play a huge part of! You will work with a fantastic team of support staff who will be on hand throughout the day and you will even be working with other graduates. You will support the pupil socially, academically and emotionally working together with the parents, teachers and other specialist support.

You must be a recent graduate who has a passion for education and supporting children with SEN. This role would be ideally suited to a Psychology graduate who has a good understanding of developmental disorders. A 'firm but fair' approach is key to this role along with a resilient personality. Ideally you will have some experience of working with children, but not necessarily in a school.

We work with Primary Schools in Leeds and Bradford. Your location will of course be taken into consideration and you will have opportunity to meet with schools informally in the first instance. The support systems in place in the schools are outstanding, you will have the opportunity work with outstanding teachers and leadership teams.

If you would like the opportunity to join our graduate programme as a Primary SEN Teaching assistant, do not hesitate to send your CV and covering letter to Amy at i-teachers today.
