These candidates will have a solid practical track-record of delivering functional safety attributes of electronic/electrical systems for motor-vehicle applications, ideally with experience of ISO 26262.
The applicants need to have a board, whole lifecycle awareness from functional safety planning to detailed design/analysis, to safety case compilation and production, although we are looking for expertise only in one or more specific areas.

Candidates need to have a pragmatic and non-confrontational approach building consensus with the existing development team and suppliers, occasionally needing to find novel solutions to complex problems.

A good first degree (minimum 2:1) in electrical/electronic engineering, systems engineering or a relevant related discipline is essential.
A higher degree (relevant M.Sc, Eng D, Ph.D) and/or corporate membership of an engineering institution including Chartered Engineer qualification would be desirable.
This role will be based in Nuneaton, UK with occasional travel to West-Coast US and potentially China.
