We are currently recruiting for a Bottle Supply Engineer to work within our Blow Moulding department based at our Bridgwater site. The role will need the candidate to safely prioritise, organise and deliver cost effective electrical/mechanical maintenance activities in line with PPM schedules and reactive demands within the Blow Moulding facility. The candidate will also need to have the skills set to actively seek and implement new continuous improvement initiatives. Your challenge In this role the key responsibilities will include: * Adhere to Health and Safety, environmental management procedures ensuring compliance with legal and statutory regulations. * Adhere to quality and product safety policy and procedures. * Effectively use the CMMS system to accurately record activities. * To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical/Electrical equipment and machinery. * To observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure. * To service, adjust and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner. * To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance and plan of action for improvements. * Carry out Planned and Preventative Maintenance to agreed schedules. * To interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment. * Prioritise and support reactive/breakdown repair through the site CMMS system. * Coaching of operators with asset care tasks. * Develop the skills and knowledge of the site teams in the process of blow moulding, providing training as and when required. * Using the CMMS system, continually identify areas for improvement and collaborate with colleagues to implement effectively. * Minimise waste levels to achieve business goals. * Ensure processes are controlled to reduce defects and rejects, maximising efficiency and quality. * To use the CMMS stores system to accurately record all material movements ensuring excellent control of stock and cost management * Support the Site roadmaps for Maintenance Excellence/Quality/H S/EMS/Engineering stores. * Use and support 5WHY CI techniques/RCA techniques. * Support the department with internal/external audits. Key skills & experience: * Flexible to support out of hours working and off site work where required is essential. * Recognised apprenticeship in Engineering is essential. * 5 years' experience in maintenance, ideally within a FMCG environment essential. * ONC/ HNC desirable. * IOSH qualification desirable. * Good knowledge of the blow moulding process. * Good interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective planning and organisation, ability to make logical decisions that will resolve potential problems. * Good knowledge of the blow moulding process.
