Develop, source and produce product to an agreed critical path that will improve the margin, meet the required quality (fit for purpose), establish blocks that can be used across the business to ensure product fit standardisation.

Critical Partnerships
*Design - to ensure the full and timely integration of development processes into the product creation process.
*Product Management - Develop products accurately against the product brief highlighting any inconsistencies as they arise and work to find an appropriate solution.
*Communication - Ensure all parties have clear understanding of any issues as they arise to ensure timely delivery of product.
*Suppliers - Travel to factories as and when required to resolve technical issues.

Role accountabilities
*Provide to the PDM, KPI's on all sources of supply to ensure they can meet our required performance standards for quality, service and price.
*Ensure all sources meet the agreed terms of payment and delivery ensuring any violations are highlighted and managed appropriately.
*Ensure whilst visiting any sources of supply that they meet our required code of conduct.
*Arrange that the produce sourced meets the quality standards required by The brand and reports from independent test houses have been provided as to the validity of the quality.
*Ensure the PDM is informed in good time of any delivery date change or production problems.
*Understand and communicate any changes to styles that may impact on the cost of the product to the PDM.
*Work as closely as possible with the Design teams to ensure suppliers have the correct Tech Pack instructions for all products.
*Approve fabric swatches for quality and colour, using commercial awareness to determine accessibility in conjunction with the designers.
*Work with the Designers to ensure that the critical path dates are met.
*Ensure that all product arrives in a timely fashion and is fit for purpose.
*Provide to the Senior Product Developer all necessary reports to enable the timely purchase of product.

General accountabilities

*Contribute to your own training and development including attending appraisal meetings. Your manager will assist you by maintaining a planned approach to agreeing your personal targets which will reflect the needs of the business.

You may also on some occasions be requested to provide service outside your normal working hours, but these requests will not be unreasonable.

Knowledge, skills and experience
*Educated to degree standard as a Fabric Technologist, Garment Technologist or qualified with equivalent relevant work based experience.
*Knowledge of knitted woven fabrics and garment construction is essential.
*Travel to the Far East and Europe as and when required by the business.
*A team player
*Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of other cultures
*Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
*Intermediate ability to work with Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel.
