An electronic engineering company based in Edinburgh are seeking a Firmware Engineer to join their team. If you have good C programming skills and a sound understanding of structured design using Agile and Waterfall methods, then you may be the Engineer were looking for.

What will you be doing?

As an Embedded / Firmware Engineer, youll be responsible for designing and developing quality code for a range of applications. Youll have the ability to ensure the implementation and maintenance of a suite of C firmware for ARM (Keil uVision) and Microchip (XC8) for legacy firmware. In addition to this, youll be comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team and will be confident in sharing knowledge with others when required.

What skills/experience should you have?

Degree qualification in computing discipline with experience of working in a production firmware environment
Experience of C or C++ in formal embedded firmware designs
Ability to demonstrate challenges and opportunities faced within a small, growing business
Experience using software version control e.g. Git or SVNa
Basic understanding of electronics, such as microcontroller interfacing
