Developer Programmer x 4 - C# MVC ASP.Net

Joining this widely recognised profitable and fast growing insurance intermediaries in the City of London as a C# Developer you will be exposed to a wide range of different technologies and have the opportunity to work in a small, dynamic and hugely ambitious team.

The software development team is the engine room of the business, providing bespoke systems that gives this insurance company its competitive advantage in this dynamic marketplace. This fast growing insurance intermediary is based in the City of London and designs and develops cutting edge commercial insurance products that are distributed in over 60 countries around the world.

Working as a C# Developer you will be given the opportunity to work across all of the current platforms - including their bespoke back-office system, online insurance trading platform and their new dynamic document management system - as well as driving innovation by working on some of their most interesting new projects.

This is a technology driven role, predominantly within a Microsoft SQL Server and web-based architecture environment, including ASP.NET and MVC.

Key skills required:-

  • Good commercial knowledge of Visual Studio, experience developing WebForms and ASP.NET MVC applications, WCF and WebAPI services, using C#

  • Knowledge and experience with Front End development would be highly desirable - ie HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript (AngularJS a plus), AJAX and integration with WCF/RESTful APIs.

  • Good commercial knowledge of Entity Framework, T-SQL, SSMS, experience using functions and stored procedures, experience with SSIS/SSRS would be highly desirable

  • Good understanding of agile methodologies

  • TDD (Test Driven Development)

The successful candidate will be expected to be a smart, motivated, charismatic, technology driven team player. A desire to always push the technology stack forwards and contribute to the future technology choices of the development team is an important aspect of this role.
