Your new company
A convenience store in an attractive market town located in North Yorkshire that benefits from a loyal customer base and sells a range of locally sourced products. This food and convenience retailer is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and listening to the needs of their customers and tailoring their product ranges accordingly. They now have a new opportunity for a Store Manager. They've built up an enviable reputation in their town and are keen for this to continue with the appointment of a new Store Manager. Your new role
This role offers a great deal of flexibility and autonomy to run your store as you see fit as the owner actively encourages his Store Managers to act on their instincts and do what is best for their local market. You will be working in a proud local town with a range of independent stores and taking the helm of a well-regarded store supported by a long-established and loyal store team.
This retailer is proud to stock a range of locally sourced meat, baked goods and produce and as part of your role you will be working with local suppliers to source products. What you decide to bring into your store will be up to you and you will tailor the ranges to the needs and wants of your local customers.
You will have daily operational responsibility for the store and be ultimately responsible for cashing up and banking procedures, inventory management, date checking, waste management, temperature monitoring and cleaning standards. No day will be the same and you will work to maintain excellent customer service and store standards and improve the store experience.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you should already be in a managerial or supervisory role within food retail. Due to the level of autonomy in the role you should be responsible and capable of working independently and be able to make your own decisions with regard to your store. You should have the ambition to drive store improvements.
