Job Title: Analytics Manager - Commercial Banking
Location: London
Salary: to £58,000 + bonus & benefits

Our client a global bank, is looking for an experienced Analytics Manager to join their Commercial Banking team based in London.

As an Analytics Manager - Commercial Banking you will:

- Take the lead in providing ideas & supporting line manager build a prioritisation & project plan, which identifies opportunities to meet the larger business goals. Therefore achieve business objectives by delivering a prioritized & agreed project plan for own team.
- Manage, develop and guide a team of 3-4 Analysts / Principal Analysts through their analyses & project delivery
- Report to Head of Segment Analytics and deputise for the Head of Segment Analytics including attending stakeholder working group meetings where required
- Lead delivery of a prioritized, planned & agreed project schedule, that helps to meet the business objectives and increases profitability
- Lead the team in development & maintenance of a range of analyses to extract information and deliver meaningful analyses across the business, within agreed timelines.
- Lead the team in rebuilding and creating Analyses / MIS shared with the business segments and provides appropriate commentary, validation & interpretation of results.
- Manage expectations of business banking stakeholders including project prioritisation, communicating and effectively managing competing priorities within resource and system constraints.
- Set expectations, share best practice and manage, monitor, coach and develop team members to ensure that they maximise their performance, meet the required standards, and continuously develop their capabilities and experience.

Key Requirements:

- At least 4 years` experience working in a data-driven organisation with a large analytics team, ideally within financial services, telecoms, utilities or similar large corporates.
- A degree in a numerical subject and experience of manipulating large data sets via SAS/SPSS/SQL programming
- Experience of supporting others` performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, motivation and support
- Team management experience including recruitment, training and performance management of resources.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
- Experience of supervising and mentoring colleagues within own business area
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across a range of levels.
