Area Sales Engineer
An excellent opportunity to fully utilise your technical sales experience in a well established company which manufactures products for the marine, offshore oil and gas, rail, nuclear and renewables sectors. The company handles contracts up to £400k, with the majority of orders in the £75k-£250k range.
Focusing mainly on marine, but working across all of our client?s customer sectors, the Area Sales Engineer will deal with customers in the UK, mainland Europe and Scandinavia.
The role of Area Sales Engineer will be based out of the client?s Essex manufacturing facility but will also involve regular visits to clients in the UK, Europe and Scandinavia, as required. The aim is to provide high visibility of the company and its products, following up enquiries and quotations and acting as an important source of commercial and technical information which you will share with technical and commercial colleagues (ie, relating to specific enquiries as well as competitor activity, market trends and new applications). A technical qualification is desirable but most important of all is a successful technical sales track record in which you have demonstrated your ability to assimilate technical information. Experience in a mechanical or air movement engineering environment would be advantageous.
Experience in sales to the marine, offshore oil and gas, nuclear, rail or renewables sectors would be useful.
