Senior Project Engineer / Systems Engineer

Perpetual Partnerships are in the process of working with a market leader within an equipment manufacturing industry in their search to add a Lead Project Engineer to their team. This business are currently in the process of extensive expansion and are keen to add a talented, highly ambitious, Project Engineer to their team already established team. So if you are a Project Engineer or Project Manager that is searching for a new opportunity then this could be the right role for you!

The Role

First and foremost you will be responsible for working with both sales and service to understand and identify customers who have pre-existing equipment that would benefit from upgrades. From there you will be expected to introduce new concepts and technology and make recommendations based on their requirements. You will spend time on customer sites and understand exactly what they need your equipment to do before communicating this with internal design, software and engineering teams to arrive at the best solution. From there you will have full project ownership taking it right through to onsite installation and completion. In between you may be expected to be involved in small redesigns or equipment lay outs although your ability to coordinate with customers and internal departments as to the specific requirements of the customer is what will separate you from the competition.

The Person

As a Lead Project Engineer you will have a strong background within mechanical or electrical engineering and ideally hold a degree within these disciplines. On top of this you will have experience of working as both a desk based and hands on engineer with complete ease managing up to 6 projects at any one time. You will have superb communication skills and have the ability to motivate and direct technical specialists ensuring they are able to deliver your specific requirements for the customers in hand. You will be happy to attend customer sites and be dynamic enough to support global projects when needed. Your hands on experience will not be forgotten - this role requires both design and hands on work so variety will be your spice of life!

In Return

In return you should expect a superb salary backed up with an extensive benefits package including pension, 24 days holiday (rising with service), private health and much more! You should also expect the opportunity to show your flair and skills with a clear progression plan outlined from day one. Interested to know more?
