As Paint Technologist, you will work within a multi-material discipline team providing specialist technical leadership and consultancy service to the whole business. Your role will range from material investigations, selection and specification advice, material testing and analysis, and material technology research and developments for new products.

You'll lead activities related to technical development of new coatings and technologies for exterior body, and be responsible for testing and approval of exterior paint systems as part of new programme delivery.

Providing technical direction to our paint shops and associated departments, you'll be writing technical reports, standards and test methods relating to exterior coatings and colour development.


You are an experienced Paint Technologist who has extensive technical knowledge of exterior paint materials and technologies gained within a technical industry. A strong understanding of paint shop processes and methods will be essential, as is your experience of working in a materials engineering capacity. Additionally, you'll have experience is laboratory testing of paint materials and general laboratory tools, techniques, and processes.
