Data Engineer / AI Specialist
Data Engineer needed to join an AI Software company in Central London. The selected Data Engineer will be engaged in their product development team to analyse large quantities of web traffic data to gain insight and identify patterns and detect features.
The ideal person will thrive working with large datasets and using a range of statistical and machine learning approaches to detect patterns of usage to optimise effective identification and insight into the nature of web traffic.
They require good problem solvers who work well in a team and will be able to work on their own initiative to propose innovative solutions to data-driven problems.
They expect team members to bring innovative ideas and solutions to ensure that the team maintains its innovative edge. Your role will include:
·Working in an agile team, applying an innovative approach to your work.
·Exploratory data analysis and feature extraction
·Data driven problem solving and ability to create imaginative solutions.
·Experience with data science toolkits such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab or equivalent
·Ability to visualise data with tools such as d3.js and matplotlib
·Knowledge of cluster computing technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
·Expertise with machine learning approaches, such as Neural Networks and natural language processing.
·Scripting or programming skills ? especially Python, Pyspark, R and SQL
·Ability to plan and estimate tasks, working closely with the Product Owner to understand requirements and deliver to specification.
·Familiarity with cutting edge technologies and willing to keep abreast of the latest developments in the industry
·A degree in Computer Science, Mathematical disciplines or other relevant discipline, which has involved significant, hands on experience with data analysis principles.
