We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced data manager to undertake this new role which will be focused on the deployment of a CAFM system within Facilities Management.
We are looking for an experienced Data Manager to oversee the development and use of data systems throughout a CAFM implementation programme. It is imperative that you have sufficient experience to be able to work independently and are able to fully grasp the complexity of data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. You will also be tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
Specific Responsibilities
Data Collection
-To have primary responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, security and reporting of departmental data
-Formulate techniques for quality data collection to establish adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data. You will ensure data is created and maintained to be fit for purpose.
-Ensure effective operational processes are in place to keep data maintained, up-to-date and secure. To include processes for user access control, data access and maintenance procedures.
-Keep accurate records of data collection methods & processes throughout project lifecycle
-Coordinate handover of all documents & data records post project to relevant stakeholders
-Formulate, implement & enforce proper data collection tools
-Train, educate and advise stakeholders on data collection tools and processes throughout the project
-Establish data quality standards and work with vendors to ensure standards are met
-Act as the point of contact and lead for the CAFM Project Team, key stakeholders and the vendor on Data Collection and validation
Data System Management
-Create and enforce processes for effective data management, ensuring effective communication and implementation within the department
-Prepare data for migration according to established plan and keep accurate records of all data changes and refinements
-Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
-Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
-Lead and direct stakeholders carrying out report design and data extraction
-Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorise maintenance or modifications
-Develop and maintain a data/records classification scheme for the department
-Devise and deliver data management awareness training for staff
-Perform and document procedures for data preparation including data cleaning, standardisation and analysis
-Delegate / allocate tasks and responsibility for data collection to department staff, assessing if required quality standards have been met and subsequently accepting or rejecting work output
-Provide expert clear advice/guidance on technical data issues, making complex technical information and language simple and accessible to non-technical audiences
Reporting & Analysis
-Analyse and interpret data from a variety of sources to understand business challenges and identify and deliver solutions
-Understand end ensure privacy law and standards
-Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them throughout the project
-Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results
-Advise on appropriate functionality to help meet future needs and requirements
-Recommend improvements to system structure, & functionality, working with other departments as well as the vendor to improve tools & processes.
-Develop ad-hoc reports as necessary
-Evaluate strengths and weakness of a wide range of data formats, structures and hierarchy options and decide most efficient and accurate methodology
-Design methods to analyse and research data to maximise insight and functional information output
-Provide training and learning sessions as they relate to system functionality and the future of data management
-Design and deliver training sessions to end users relating to system functionality, data management processes and the future of data management
-Design training documentation and user manuals to be utilised post project
-Work with the Project Manager to identify best practise within the development to ensure take up and effective use of the new application
-Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Policy, local arrangements and relevant legislation
