Senior Magento Developer | Central London | contract | £250-£280 per day
A leading online retailer is currently looking for an experienced Magento Developer to work in-house on a 6 month contract with the possibility of permanent work to follow.

As the business grows, the development of the ecommerce platform will be brought in-house, allowing greater flexibility to update and enhance the customer front-end.

Typical responsibilities:

*Developing, optimising, upgrading and adding new features to the online store in Magento 2 Enterprise, hosted with Magento Cloud.
*Design and development of future technical solutions and strategies to help the website grow and thrive.
*Enhancements and optimisation of the Akeneo PIM that feeds the Magento system. If Akeneo is not familiar to you then training will be provided.
*Ongoing measurement, development and configuration of customer analysis tools - New Relic, Google Analytics, custom systems etc. including alerting.
*Continued improvements to user experience, including improvements to ElasticSearch, product filtering, recommendation engine, personalised content etc.

The successful candidate for this role will have these essential skills:
*Leadership skills and expert experience developing online stores using Magento and subsequently Magento 2
*Experience and ability in a majority of the following tech: PHP, MySQL, NginX, Elasticsearch, HTML5, Javascript, CSS, Puppet, AWS.
*A portfolio of previous projects we can view prior to interview
*A portfolio of work on Github or similar.
*Able to work autonomously and without supervision, in a lead / sole Developer role
