My client, a multinational digital agency based in London, is looking for a tech savvy Technical Director to lead a team, with the aim of maximising ROI for their high profile clients.

The role:
As a Technical Director, you will be working alongside various internal stakeholders, including the delivery and account teams, helping to identify the key resources and skills required to deliver on key accounts successfully. You'll also implement a cutting edge development process (BDD. SCRUM) and communicate this to your team and the wider organisation.

You'll also be using your consultative side and pitching to clients, as well as resolving technical issues raised by internal and external stakeholders.
The key competences required are as follows: Technical vision, planning, risk management, implementation of the possible development process, technology strategy and consultancy.

*Technical Skills
*Practical knowledge and experience of best practices and standards for .NET development and at least one other language
*Knowledge of browser agent capabilities including web browsers, mobile browsers and other devices
*Experience in developing and designing distributed, transactional systems for the web
*Experience in documenting designs using UML or a similar framework
*PRINCE 2 and development methodologies such as Agile (especially Scrum)
*Consultancy Skills
*Ability to work in client-facing, consultative situations, particularly in pre-sales situations
*Project Team Leadership

Personal Qualities
*You will be an innovative, driven individual with excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to build productive and positive relationships

*A university degree from an internationally-recognised institution, in Computer Science
*Experience leading a technical team in a digital agency or consulting environment
*Previous commercial development experience in .NET (essential) - other platforms would be beneficial
*Specific experience developing web applications in the travel, tourism and leisure, retail or financial services sectors, and designing distributed, transactional systems
*Experience of social media, community, CMS, CRM systems, booking engines or other enterprise systems
*Experience of at least one .Net enterprise content management system such as Sitecore, EPiServer or Sitefinity. Other Java based systems, i.e. Adobe, Hippo, Magnolia a plus
