Reed's Engineering team are working alongside a market leading specialist manufacturer based in Dudley. This Engineering company is part of a wider network of businesses that make up a well-established and well known group.
Because of continual investment and an increase in production, the company are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team and support the Maintenance Team.
The Maintenance Engineer will be reporting to a Site Manager with the overall aim of increasing machine efficiency and reducing downtime. They will be working on a double days shift pattern, with occasional call out work which could involve the weekends too.
Within this role, you will be expected to:
Adhere to H&S guidelines and regulations at all times.
Perform Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance on machinery, including inspection work.
Work to deadlines and schedules and have a wider awareness of the importance of reducing downtime.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects and be aware of areas where improvements could be made.
Complete documentation and reports for Maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to have good confidence when it comes to fault finding on electrical and mechanical faults and if you can bring PLC knowledge, then this will stand out.
You should also be able to read Engineering drawings comfortably, electrical and mechanical.
Because of the way shifts are structured, you should also be comfortable working as part of a team but also independently too.
