Location: London
Salary: to £58,000 + bonus & benefits

Our client, a global bank is looking for an experienced Analytics Manager to join their Commercial Banking Business Analytics team.

As an Analytics Manager you will:

- Support the business unit in maximizing understanding and profitability, and in meeting its business objectives.
- Use business judgment and analytical tools in driving the best results for the business unit
- Work with IT and business owners to identify, source, validate and make available data sources from across the bank that may not be currently available to drive breadth of analysis across the team.
- Take the lead in developing, maintaining and improving high quality validated strategies, while leading projects that support the goals of the team.
- Take initiative in identifying gaps in data and in understanding and managing a range of analytical and modelling projects from inception to delivery
- Support the Head of Data Management by helping shape the work pipeline for own business area, contributing own ideas and deputising where appropriate
- Support the Head of Data Management by providing additional mentoring to Analysts / Principal Analysts

The Analytics Manager will have:

- At least 4 years` experience working in a data-driven organisation with a large analytics team, ideally within financial services, telecoms, utilities or similar large corporates.
- A degree in a numerical subject and experience using SAS, SQL, R, Qlikview/Tableau and Hadoop.
- Experience of supporting others` performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, motivation and support
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
- Experience of supervising and mentoring colleagues within own business area
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across a range of levels.
