Our client are an independent practice with a bright, open planned office, who are looking for ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountants.
We are currently recruiting for candidates in Accounting who must be self-starters, strongly motivated and clear communicators at all levels. The candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and pro-actively in our practice that is client-focused. Over the last few years they have built an enviable reputation for delivery excellence in international and local markets.
The main responsibilities of the Accountant role will include:
? Managing existing portfolio of clients across many sectors.
? Accounts preparation for Limited Companies, Sole traders, Partnerships, and Tax computations
? Assist in bookkeeping services
? Assisting with representing the firm externally
? Developing client relationships through excellent communication skills
? Business and personal tax computations and preparation of partnership and corporation tax returns
? Extensive client communication and attending meetings
? Preparation of statutory accounts
? Clients account management reports & Cashflow statements
? Assisting with onboarding new client
? Assisting in carrying out periodic review on VAT returns
? Liaising with HMRC over enquiries and VAT inspections
? Preparation of EC sales lists as required
? Interacting with partners and fellow staff in a technical capacity
? Identifying and winning new work opportunities that can be introduced to the firm
? Must have Experience in Practice
? Solid experience in statutory requirements for SMEs
? Excellent analytical skills, with a high focus on accuracy
? Demonstrated ability to work across functions and achieve results through indirect influence and collaboration
? Ability to work well with a tight deadline
? Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CTA, ACA) or equivalent certification preferred
? MS Office at advanced level
? Excellent knowledge in any of the following software: Sage One, Sage Line 50, Xero, Iris, Kashflow.
