Applicants are invited to apply for the Engineer Support Technician vacancy within the Engineering Department, based at the Port of Liverpool Container Terminals. This is a shift based role.

Role Purpose: To work within the engineering team across a rolling shift pattern, providing assistance to the team in carrying out reactive and planned maintenance efficiently, effectively, and in a safe manner.

This role will include the following responsibilities:

-Assist engineers and technicians with all planned and reactive maintenance work on electrical and mechanical equipment
-Ensure all facilities, plant and equipment are kept in a safe and clean condition
-Carry out all duties with due care and attention, adhering to the Company's Health and Safety Policy and HSE regulations
-Identify operational issues and notify the Shift Team Leader without delay
-Effectively carry out the shift workload as stipulated by the Shift Team Leader
-Ensure completion of documentation including daily logs, progress sheets and records, both manual and IT based
-Forge excellent relationships with internal stakeholders

-A full valid Driving Licence is essential
-Previous experience working in a physically demanding environment
-Able to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and change in a fast moving operational environment
-Understand and demonstrate commitment to maintaining Peel Ports Health and Safety standards, including permit to work systems and accident reporting
-A flexible approach to working hours is required
