We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT support specialist based out of our Head Offices in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. We are a dynamic business supporting the dental industry, providing X- Ray and software products and support. We are looking for talented individuals with good communication skills to join our highly motivated support team. You must have a background and experience in an IT /helpdesk role and a desire to learn new skills. Orthotrac UK specialise in providing a range of IT and X-Ray services to the dental industry. Key Tasks: - Provide advice and resolve user related problems working as part of the IT service desk team via face-to-face, telephone and electronic communications. - Providing application support for Orthotrac a specialist Orthodontic/Dental Management software system, windows based environment. - Take responsibility for faults and work requests. - Proactively seek resolutions for customers; keep customers informed of progress; deal with problems and solutions in a professional and calm manner. - Provide technical support on all IT related matters aiming at resolving the majority of incidents at first point of call using advanced diagnostic techniques, system administrator rights and remote control of desktops. - Undertake occasional on-site installations of Computers, Servers, Printers and Peripheral equipment. - Any other reasonably IT related duties required. Experience - 2+ years previous experience in a similar role - Confident in the use and fault finding within a windows based environment - Experience of using SQL Database systems - Excellent customer service - Strong background in IT technical and application support with a good working knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating and server operating systems. - Strong troubleshooting skills - Technical aptitude and the ability to multi-task are essential. - You will be required, on occasion, to travel to different customers within the UK to provide support. - Full clean driving license - Minimum of Grade C or above in English, Maths and IT. Working hours 9 to 5.30pm but may be required work flexible hours as when required to cover helpdesk and work on client site. Free On-site parking.
