Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant - The Person

This role requires a graduate with a Geography or related degree, who has obtained a minimum of a 2:1 class degree. You must be an enthusiastic individual who possesses passion in your subject and who would like to pass on knowledge of the subject in a Teaching Assistant role. You must have a clear understanding of where you want your career to go and be able to demonstrate progression whilst working with pupils. Previous work with children or young people is essential, although this does not necessarily need to be in a school setting.

Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant - The Role
Geography Graduate Teaching Assistants have to be able to take the initiative and see where their support may be needed. They must be patient and to be able to highlight the skills of the students they are working with whilst helping overcome any difficulties. The school has a diverse mix of students from different backgrounds so Teaching Assistants must have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of different abilities also.
