Engineering Project Lead

A leading organisation that specialises in the design and development for the next generation of Aerospace engines. They have recently started a ground-breaking innovative project and as a result of this, they are seeking an Engineering Project Lead, on a permanent basis, to run a small team of cross-functional including Project Manager?s, Supply Chain and Engineering to drive the delivery of hardware around the ancillary equipment.

The Engineering Project Lead will receive:

THE CANDIDATE

Engineering Project Lead

The Engineering Project Lead will require the following:

Essential Skills / Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable with mechanical design and development processes
  • Experience of leading technical, cross-functional teams
  • must have industry experience in the design and analysis of mechanical physical interfaces
  • must have experience working across engine sub-systems in order to create the overall mechanical engine external interface definitions and design schemes

Desirable:

  • Would ideally have knowledge or experience within the aerospace industry
  • Would ideally have experience with managing complex mechanical systems

THE ROLE

Engineering Project Lead

We are looking for a Engineering Project Lead to join an exciting new venture and hit the ground running. We are also looking for a team player who has a positive approach to work and can focus when completing a variety of responsibilities.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Develop and manage the external mechanical design activities of the SABRE engine demonstrator programme
  • Build strong internal relationships between sub-system teams to define the whole engine mechanical design
  • Work alongside the PM to assure the overall project delivery, technical point of liaison with Customers and Suppliers
  • Support Chief Design Engineer to deliver the SABRE engine demonstrator
