Position: Senior Quality Assurance Manager
Location:Greenford
Salary:£DoE

Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the strategic and operational performance of the Quality department, ensuring that successful delivery of Business Strategy, Key Performance Indicators and objectives, whilst adhering to Customer and regulatory compliance and achieving commercial success.

Scope / dimensions:
Leading a team of Quality Assurance Engineers based across the all company locations. The Senior QA Manager will be responsible for submitting inputs to the overall Operations budget. Based predominately in Greenford with occasional travel both within the UK and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Development
lOverall responsibility for Quality activities across the Business.
lCreate and implement best practise quality vision, strategy, policies and processes to aid and improve business performance using the PuMP methodology.
lProvide strategic and operational guidance and support to the business to ensure certification to AS9100 and ISO9001.

General
lReport on Quality activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management Team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators.
lDevelop and promote quality related training and awareness across the whole of the organisation.
lManage all first, second, third party audits and assessments of the supply chain.
lEnsure that corrective actions are delivered and non-compliance issues are resolved on time.
lGuide the SMT in areas of concern, process improvement and process performance.
lTo promote the standardisation of processes across the Business and ensuring compliance to UK legal and Customer specifications and standards.
lProvide leadership. Mentor and develop direct reports to ensure a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
lDevelop and manage all aspects of Software and Firmware Quality.




JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
lExtensive Quality management experience within the Aerospace / Defence industry.
lExperience and ability to present to the Senior Management Team.
lExtensive experience of compliance to the AS 9100 series of Standards.
lProven leadership and management skills.

Qualifications:
lRelevant manufacturing / engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTec Professional Level 5 award or equivalent NVQ level 5 qualifications.
lChartered Quality Professional (preferred).
lIPC 610 certified.
lInternal Auditor (IRCA approved preferred).
lAbility to obtain SC Clearance.
lFull driving licence essential.
