The Power Train Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) department are responsible for the development and introduction of new and modified processes and facilities associated with new model introductions and model year changes, within Assembly. The team is expanding to enable future electrification developments in support of the Jaguar Land Rover range of vehicles.

Jaguar Land Rover has an opportunity for a high calibre and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our new Electric Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering team. The team is developing to support future electrification developments in support of the Jaguar Land Rover range of vehicles.

You will be a key part of the Manufacturing Electric Powertrain team, working closely with Product Development Engineers, Facility vendors and Suppliers to ensure that component and whole propulsion designs meet world class quality and efficiency standards.

The role could involve Overseas travel.

The overall responsibility of this role is to work within a team of engineers responsible for the planning and development of assembly processes for the Electric Battery modules and packs.


In your role as Process Engineer you'll be a self-motivated character with a good technical and communication skills, ideally with experience and understanding of electrified propulsion assembly. You'll have good IT skills and awareness of process authoring tool (GSPAS), simulation and virtual toolsets i.e. Digital-Buck, Process Simulate and CATIA V5 and Byteworx's. The ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts to launch at various Jaguar Land Rover sites. Previous experience of facility installation, capability validation, commissioning and product launch would be preferable alongside a good understanding of engineering including the ability to review engineering drawings.
