INTERIM / Engineering Planner / TPM Leader

Up to £300 per day / £30.00 per hour

As our world leading FMCG client's engineering department continues to evolve we are looking for an Engineering Planning / TPM Coordinator on an INTERIM/CONTRACT basis to join a well-established and large engineering team in Greater Manchester - FMCG.

A day based role, you will support the Engineering Maintenance Manager in the formulation and implementation of the site engineering development plan, ensuring that all employees are trained and equipped with skills and knowledge to meet their roles within the business.

You will have the aim of developing, organising and delivering maintenance planning functions to improve plant operations. You will be required to improve efficiencies, focus on plant performance, energy reduction and sustainability, in order to maintain the maximum levels of plant availability and reliability.

-Implementing and operating the planning functions, to maintain the plant to the agreed engineering standards

-A key user for the maintenance management system on site, ensuring all master data and technical documentation is current and correct

-Maintenance planning in SAP

- Identifying and implementing methods for increasing reliability, availability and maintainability for all equipment

Implementation and development of the Manufacturing Asset Care Programme and maintenance best practice.

Support the implementation of the Manufacturing Asset Care programme in order to reduce engineering downtime and cost.

Facilitate Process Mapping / Criticality / RCM / FMEA sessions with multidisciplinary teams

Deliver visible site Engineering Key Performance Indicator's (SMART) in line with Visual Performance Management principles

Support the training and development of Engineers, Apprentices and Operators on Asset Care tools and processes

Help create engineering training programmes, and materials to improve the effectiveness of training

* Maximise the value of the ATM group by identifying and transferring devolved tasks and developing CILT regimes in line with Autonomous Maintenance Principles.

Key role and person requirements:

HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.

Ability to train and coach effectively - ESSENTIAL

Ability to challenge the status quo and push existing boundaries

Experience in Training delivery & competence assessment.

Full understanding of safe working practices and relevant legislation where applicable

Lean manufacturing techniques, such as 6 sigma

Communication & Presentations Skills (Interpersonal skills)
