Java Developer required by my software consultancy client in London.
(Graduate Apprentice Java J2EE J2SE API Developer TDD DevOps Agile Software Engineer Programmer RESTful Digital Consultant Consultancy Cloud Azure AWS Amazon Web Services)
You MUST have the following experience:
- Java J2EE developer/programmer/software engineer
- Understanding of Agile processes and practices
- A willingness to work with others to learn new skills and technologies
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- A contributor to the online and open-source community
- Front-end development experience
- AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Microsoft Azure
Role: Java Developer (Java J2EE J2SE Software Engineer/Programmer/Graduate/Junior/Apprentice) for an established software consultancy in London.
For the first 3 - 6 months, you will be trained and mentored by an experienced team member. After this, you will be promoted to Consultant. This will be recognised both financially and with responsibility, including attending client sites independently. You will still have the support of your mentor.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on projects for a range of clients, including Amazon and Google, and start-ups, across London zones 1 and 2. Unlike other consultancies, you will have the ability to decline work based on the location.
The role will utilise your technical strengths however you may be required to learn and use new technologies/ languages. They invest heavily in training and have an unlimited budget for relevant courses and materials for staff.
You will only work on projects that involve up to date methods such as microservices (micro services / micro-services), CQRS and event-sourcing. Experience with these is not essential.
The client attends and hosts development community events. The environment is relaxed and creative.
Salary: £28k - £38k + benefits (including conference allowances and unlimited training budgets)
