When it comes to the future, our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team is planning it today. Regularly working up to three years ahead of production, they help translate, plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacture, transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities.

From the luxuriously agile Jaguar F-TYPE to the innovative CX-17, our vehicles - famed for the revolutionary technologies they employ - are amongst some of the most desired and revered in the world today. Your constant challenge, working as part of our diverse and multi-skilled AME team, will be to ensure our iconic brands continue to captivate the world tomorrow.

Manpower Planning is a central part of AME and has the responsibility of presenting the statistical data required to plan, monitor, and by analysis challenge the labour requirements across the Jaguar Land Rover Production facilities.

The scope of delivery is from Pre-programme kick off through all the Vehicle Gateways ensuring that the programmes deliver to their timings and Hours per Car (HPC) targets and then continue to deliver efficiency targets.

Process optimisation is key to production perfection. As a Delivery Industrial Engineer, your key role will be to deliver quality products by effectively optimising the vehicle design, processes and facilities for future new models. Bringing all of your talents by collaborating with various departments including Product Development, Material Planning & Logistics and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering to work with processes and developing new vehicle and model year plans to achieve programme manpower targets.

You'll be expected to analyse the assembly design through virtual programme phases and report the Basic Minute Value (BMV) and Hours per Car (HPC) status. We will expect you to confidently suggest best practice productivity ideas at all stages of the programme and be focused on Lean principles using various methodologies.

You'll need a thorough understanding of the production operating parameter, the deployment of the IEQOS, benchmarking activities, and design for assembly analysis in the virtual world. With experience in allocation planning, method study, and synthetic time deployment, you'll also have practical knowledge of Global Study Process Allocation Systems (GSPAS) and Allocation Planning Tools (APT).

You'll be an expert in analysis and data handling so you'll have an excellent eye for detail and accuracy. Experienced with LEAN and Kaizen principles, you're an agile worker who knows how to deliver.

Whilst qualifications in a relevant field are desirable, it is practical experience that we are seeking for this role. This will mean you're already confident building working relationships and not afraid to challenge others to make a change. Self-motivated, resilient, you're always looking for new innovations to improve the manufacturing process.

There will be travel between sites, therefore a level of flexibility and a full UK driving licence will be required.
