Job Outline:

An opportunity has arisen to join a growing manufacturer of precision optics and components used within Telecoms and Data Centres.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee and lead a small team of Engineers.

Having a background in opto-electronic manufacturing or similar, you will take responsibility for all aspects of production engineering in a high tech manufacturing environment.

Within the role you will be managing Engineering tasks such as manufacturing improvements, yield improvement activities and the introduction of new products to manufacturing, along with the introduction of new manufacturing processes.

You will be working with a diverse range of engineering disciplines, and as such you should have strong people and communication skills.

In addition to this you will also be managing and developing supplier relationships.

This is a hands on engineering role, where you will supervise the staff and also take a lead on key projects.

Qualifications:

Ideally you will hold a Degree or Higher Qualification in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering, or other related technology discipline.

Experience:

As the successful candidate you will have a proven track record in Production Engineering, working within a similar Precision Engineering environment.
