With your in-depth experience of developing and implementing manufacturing processes, coupled with the knowledge of Crankshaft Engineering you'll join our Power Train Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) department as a Process Engineer to enable future developments in support of the Jaguar Land Rover range of vehicles.

As a Machining Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be part of a team of engineers designing, developing, installing and launching quality-focused, efficient machining production processes for our new engines. You'll ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained through product conformance to agreed quality standards and processes and assist with the development of operational launch and will assist with developing the Quality Operating System (QOS) in preparation for the operational rate of climb and new launches.

You'll utilise your knowledge to develop, improve and implement processes and to deliver the safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives. You'll also be required to improve the standard of the process, using information collected from operations and then applying problem-solving techniques. The role will ultimately work hand in hand with the Production Operations teams to ensure product conformance all the way through to the recurring manufacturing phase and volume rate of climb.

You'll communicate current issues to relevant teams to ensure all receive maximum exposure and are dealt with effectively to assist, improve and sustain product quality. You'll also drive continuous improvement by establishing a specific course of action, and appropriately manage time, tasks, budgets and resources to ensure a first class service to our customer base.


You'll have experience of developing and implementing manufacturing processes within Machining, coupled with good working knowledge of Quality tools including PFMEA, SPC, Standard Work Sheets, Quality Process Sheets, and Capability studies, DoE, PPAP and 8D. Knowledge of high-precision machining processes is essential and proven experience of facility installation, commissioning and launch would be highly. You'll be educated to Degree level in an Engineering or a similar discipline. Candidates with HNC / HND and the relevant experience would be considered.

You'll be an effective leader with the ability of coordinating large groups of people through complex processes in a fast paced and demanding environment, and the ability to implement change effectively and ensure efficient running of the operation with the ability to use planning and timing tools to deliver on-going projects. Communicate current issues to relevant teams to ensure all receive maximum exposure and are dealt with effectively to assist, improve, and sustain product quality.

Be proficient with use of PC Systems & Packages, with an ability to analyse and interpret data output. You'll be a strong communicator, both written & verbally and have the confidence to present your information in front of groups of people, including Senior Management.

You must also be to travel to our national and international sites.
