A very successful, international law firm are looking to recruit an Applications Support Manager on a permanent basis at their Bristol office. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody ambitious who is looking to progress in a busy, challenging new role.
The main purpose of this role is to assist the Applications Manager with project delivery(including technical leadership of various projects), provide technical support, oversight and line management to relevant members of the team and to mentor team members where appropriate.
Main duties will include:
-Assist the manager with the team's operational delivery, global project involvement, attendance at meetings.
-Assisting with the deployment, monitoring and support of applications across offices worldwide.
-Work with stakeholders to define IT requirements for new technology implementations. Analyse, report on and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT systems through the development of business case justifications.
-Ensure that incoming support or development work to the applications team is dealt with promptly.
-Maintain regular communications with the applications manager regarding IT activities.
A big part of this role is the performance management of relevant members of the applications team, so line management experience is essential You will also have delegated authority for the applications manager and the autonomy to make decisions in his absence.
To be considered for this role, you need to have outstanding communication skills, experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and be comfortable presenting and adding value at meetings. You also need to be proactive, self-motivated, possess strong leadership skills and be able to command the respect of a highly technical team.
It is desirable that you have an understanding of the legal environment and the applications typical to it, you will ideally have technical, hands on experience.
Desired experience of the following technologies/applications:
-Windows 7/10 and Office 2010/16
-WorkSite (or other Document Management System)
-Elite (or other leading Practice Management System)
-Workflow Development, Intapp Integrate or similar systems integration technology.
-Microsoft SQL Server.
