Salaried teacher training available from September 2018

This new school is looking for the next generation of science educators and they are eager to meet with high calibre Physics graduates who can commit to a role for this academic year at least.

The school needs 1st and 2:1 calibre physics graduates who are interested in a career in teaching. The school can offer a permanent contract paying circa £18,700 per annum. The hope is that you will fall in love with the school and the challenge of teaching and decide to remain with the school for a salaried teacher training route from September 2018.

The physics teaching assistant role for this academic year will be a rewarding one. You will partner with a particular physics specialist and gain a great understanding of what is required to make a successful lesson. You will be handed small groups of pupils to whom you will be responsibilities for reporting progress and understanding what aspects of the lesson hit home and what points missed the mark.

Eventually you will be able to take small groups and individuals out of class and make targeted intervention. These sessions will give you a perfect opportunity to understand how pupils learn. You will report progress to the teaching team and it is hoped that you will be a confident educator by the end of the school year.

The school is an expanding project. Building work is in the finishing stages and the school will be almost doubling in size over the next five academic years. With this expansion the school will need to attract and support teachers. It is hoped that from this Physics teaching assistant role that you will learn to understand the school and be tempted to stay on from September 2018 in a salaried teacher training route.
