Desktop Support Engineer - 2nd Line Support


A market leading Financial requires a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team. The purpose of this role is to provide support to our London office assisting with hardware and software problems via phone, email and in person.

Role & Responsibilities:

    Provide Desktop / 2nd line technical supportMaintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principlesTake ownership of user problems, pro-active when dealing with user issuesRespond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problemsSupport users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
Essential Skills & Experience:

    Excellent communication & interpersonal skillsActive Directory and Group PolicyMicrosoft Exchange VMWARE HorizonStrong working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems (Win7/Win10) and MS Office (2013/16)Cisco PhonesIP/IP experience and basic networkingFull understanding of PC hardware set-up and configurationFlexible, pro-active approach as a proven self-starterTeam player who can work under guidelines to complete tasks in a timely mannerAbility to work on individual projects against set targetsITIL Foundation V3

    Experience/understanding of SageAV Experience ITSM Tool Airwatch MDM
