Your new role
Your new role as a claims administrator will involve:
- Daily data entry on claims system
- Issuing intent to claim and claim acknowledgement letters
- Extraction / collating file documents from internal systems
- Contacting agents and clients for paperwork
- Internal discover and research
- Claims handling
- Liaising with third party provides, surveyors and insurers
- Pursuing recover of claims paid
- General administration
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 365. You will also need a good working knowledge of the transport claims processes and a working knowledge of the shipping and transport of cargo industry, supply chain process and international and domestic transport terms and conditions. This company will, however, accept candidates who lack shipping experience if they have strong knowledge of claims administration.
