Senior Payroll Specialist - Global Organisation - Gloucestershire - £38,000 - £42,000 per annum - Hays


Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently being retained to recruit for a dynamic and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist for a leading and Global Distribution business based in Gloucestershire. An exciting and newly created permanent opportunity to deliver the organisations payroll processing and administration services ensuring all services are rigorously delivered. As part of the payroll team you will be expected to assist in the management of payroll services, process improvement and efficiency within the payroll department.

Your key duties will include being accountable for four payrolls, which involves processing 600+ employees, third party payments, reconciling the payroll monthly and responsible identifying needful adjustments. You will manage in excess of 200 data changes per month, actively engage with internal customers to scope their service requirements, assist with time/attendance audits and the approval of time cards. This varied Payroll position will also involve being in charge of implementing new payroll processes, leading payroll systems projects, mentoring/coaching new and existing team members along with interacting with external suppliers and expense providers to complex query resolution. You will be expected to maintain appropriate documentation for operational processes and procedures as part of standardization of the payroll operations, working with the Payroll Manager and Senior HR Business Partners.

For this exciting Senior Payroll Position you must have experience within a similar position with strong communication skills for internal and external relationships building and be able to communicate to senior members of the organisation. Ideally you will be CIPP qualified however payroll professionals who are qualified by experience will be considered. It is essential you have strong MS Excel knowledge with working experience of high volume and complex payrolls. You must have an analytical approach with knowledge of planning and delivering programs within an payroll environment. It would be advantageous if you have worked within an global organisation with strong commercial awareness and knowledge of ADP payroll systems.
