Our client, over the past 20 years, has been evolving and establishing supportive relationships with their customers, therefore differentiating themselves from their competitors. They are now looking for a computer literate Service Desk Coordinator with previous experience in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. The successful candidate will be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key business users, colleagues and support bodies to provide a professional customer service approach. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating consistent response, communication and delivery of Service Desk based activities.

The successful candidate will:

- Open and review Service Desk Calls; ensuring the customer provides an appropriate level of information
- Allocate Service Desk Calls to the correct consultant or queue
- Ensure that Service Desk Calls are monitored and updated efficiently
- Communicate with the business to provide updates on outstanding incidents and projects
- Assist in the investigation and solution of issues relating to applications to assist the team providing a high level of customer service
- Administer Change Control
- Work positively and communicate professionally across teams making an effective contribution to team tasks and team spirit
- Database housekeeping (upload and maintain customer information)
- Challenge and recommend modifications or improvements
- Administer the early and late rota

Key Skills:

- 1-year minimum experience in a Service Desk support role or IT administrative environment
- Experience of providing customer service over the telephone
- Experience of using incident logging software
- Computer literate (skilled in use of Office 365, Word and Excel)

Location: West Midlands
