ROLE: Graduate Product Support Engineer
LOCATION: Newtown, Powys
I am recruiting on behalf of a very successful and ever growing company within the Industrial Automation business. They are one of the leading providers of motors and motor control (e.g. Variable Speed Drives) plus power conversion technology for commercial and industrial applications. Their innovative products are used in the most demanding applications requiring performance, reliability and energy efficiency to enhance the productivity of the customers' machines and processes.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for students who have already achieved a Level 3 BTEC qualification and are wishing to continue to progress their learning and qualifications while working for a progressive local company. As part of this role, once the trial period is completed, the employee will be given the opportunity to complete a fully sponsored Industrial Engineering Foundation Degree with Wrexham Glyndwr University.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8 - 4.30 (with flexible working and opportunity to travel occasionally), Salary is competitive with good benefits, bonus and beautiful location to work..
Working with drives and understanding how they bring customer's machines to life.
Being a subject matter expert within a focussed product team.
Work with your manager to maintain and improve support levels to delight customers.
Manage customers & customer issues within agreed timescales & follow up appropriately.
Ensure excellent communication within the team to provide visibility to all.
Identify maintenance & update requirements on product documentation through the lifetime of
products as hardware & software functionality develops to meet customer demands.
Work within the Support suite environment to answer customer queries & maintain the support tools we provide.
Take all opportunities to develop / teach / share knowledge with fellow engineers & build the team.
Engineering/Electronics Degree qualified preferred.
HNC/D also considered.
Experience with Electronics / Electrical engineering.
Variable speed drive experience is ideal.
