Graduate Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism Support (Primary)
The school requires an ambitious graduate who has obtained a 2:1 or above in their degree, and has experience supporting children with autism. Ideally you will have the desire and motivation to become a teacher in the future. The school therefore requires a graduate who has excellent communication skills, resilience and possesses a motivational attitude.

As a 1:1 Autism Support you will be supporting a child who has just gone into KS2 (Year 3) who is on the autistic spectrum and requires 1:1 support to help with his behaviour and communication. He has an EHCP (Education and Health Care Plan) which outlines specific interventions he requires. With the support of the class teacher and school SENCO - you will run these 1:1 activities as well as supporting him to integrate with the class.

The school is based in Leeds and is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' school. The leadership team have a proven track record of supporting graduates in Teaching Assistant roles with their career, with many successfully gaining places on PGCE courses the following year.
