A great opportunity has arisen for Group Operations Manager in central Scotland to really make a difference to the strategy of the company. The Role This is a senior role reporting directly to the Group Operations Director working directly with the Senior Operations team across the Group and other areas of the business. As part of the Group Operation Management Team this role will support the Group Operations Director in leading the team towards key objectives using the financial metrics of the business as the driving force. Working closely with both the Finance and Operations teams, the individual will ensure financial rigor and compliance and provide targeted, insightful & value-adding management information which supports decision making in this part of this business. You will be responsible for ensuring clarity and accuracy of financial metrics used to drive the Operations Team to deliver overall company objectives. On Offer A salary of £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits and an opportunity to make a positive difference to the company. Your role within the Group Operations team will include: Leading the provision of financial support to the Group Operations business Ensuring accurate monthly management reporting is provided within agreed timescales, support decision making within operations Using key financial metrics, identify areas for continuous improvement within the operations function, agree action plan with team and drive accordingly Reporting, analysing and driving action plans on inventory across the Group including, Reconciliation, Provision Reporting, Forecasting, Cycle Counting. Work strategically and in partnership with Senior Managers directing them to key focus to achieve plan Support business improvement initiatives and projects Manage Group Operations input to the Group budget process, challenging and confirming key financial and operational parameters Oversee the Group Operations input to the “Risks and Opportunities” process to ensure that deviations from budget are communicated in a timely, accurate and concise manner Work with the Finance team to progress operational accounting and KPI reporting Support major capital investment/process improvement project This is a key role to fulfil; the successful candidate should have the following attributes and be able to demonstrate experience of the following: Previous experience gained in (or working with) a large corporate multinational business environment is preferred although not essential A strong track record of achievement and career progression Articulating a vision and inspiring others Ownership and accountability Teamwork and collaboration Ethics, sound judgement and adherence to the company Managing under pressure Determination, resilience and persistence Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience gained within an environment where working capital is key. International experience is useful although not essential. We are looking for an individual who has drive and can create operational processes and reports from scratch and influence others. It would be helpful if you can demonstrate where you have added value in the past to inventory programmes and bring new ideas to this company.
