Data Warehouse, Developer, SQL, SSMS, SSIS, ETL, XML, XSD

The data warehouse developer will be required to:

- liaise with the PROMs developers to ensure that the data held in the PROMs system is accessible in a ``data warehouse-ready`` format.
- extract, transform and load XML data from the PROMs system into relational SQL tables in the Data Warehouse.
- liaise with users to establish requirements for data products, and then develop these data products, linking PROMs data to other datasets where required and anonymising data as appropriate.
- develop further ETL processes for the capture of patient-level costing and National Joint Registry data, liaising as required with the relevant data providing organisations in order to agree appropriate methods of acquisition, and resolving any subsequent issues that arise.

Support the identification of an appropriate solution which allows delivery of existing data services.

Understand current architecture, data structure, security requirements and business process. Consider hosting and security, Support solution design taking into account platform sizing, volumetric s, network connectivity, web services, web UI, ETL, data egress and data security.

It is essential that candidates have the following expertise in:

The use Microsoft SSMS & SSIS and ETL.
Experience of manipulating (and shredding) XML is also a pre-requisite.
Knowledge of XML Schema Definition (XSD files).
Experienced in the development of data warehouse capability.
