Audit senior job qualified ACA ACCA CIPFA in public sector audit with Top 10 Firm in Southampton

You will be working for one of the area's leading accountancy firms.

Your new role
As an Audit Senior with this Top 10 Firm you will be working as part of an audit team or taking responsibility for running the audit, working directly with the client under manager supervision. You will be responsible for managing the audit team and supervising the audit process to ensuring that audits carried out are of high quality.

Main responsibilities will include assisting in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review, seeking input for areas of concern and judgement and identifying risk matters and raising with a manager and/or partner, while exercising judgement within agreed parameters.
A predominant amount of time will be spent off-site at clients premises.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be newly or recently qualified ACA/ICAS/CIPFA/ACCA Qualified or overseas equivalent with a good working knowledge of International Auditing Standards (IAS), IFRS, UK GAAP, as well as a working knowledge of firm services, issues regarding advice, and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
Ideally you will have experience in supervising and coaching junior members of staff on site along with demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.
Preferably you will also have public sector external audit experience gained with Local Government, NHS, Central Government, and Charities clients.
