Your new role
As a Bookkeeper at this company you will be responsible for all areas of transactional finance such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, dealing with queries, creating reports for month end and all other areas of bookkeeping were required. You will be working with a range of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. You will be liaising with clients daily via email, telephone and occasionally face to face.
As a Bookkeeper for a growing, busy bookkeeping company based in Birmingham you MUST have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software packages. You will need to be a go getter and work to your own initiative.
Previous experience in a finance setting is a MUST and the knowledge of property and Xero would be an advantage but not an essential requirement. You will need to be able to hit the ground running.
Allocation of payment in the bank
Raising invoices (purchase & sales) on behalf of client
Dealing with queries on a regularly basis
Liaising with clients on phone & email
Producing monthly reports (P&L, balance sheet etc)
Working to a tight schedule & able to meet deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Office
