Role - Telecoms Engineer
Location - Norwich
Salary - £27 - £33K

My exclusive client is looking for a talented and experienced Telecoms Engineer to help drive business growth and deliver customer satisfaction.

Job Description:

The position will involve delivering all the installations we require across our hosted and converged communications solutions using industry leading suppliers.

You will be expected to maintain a high level of customer care whilst supporting my client's customers for their hardware, software, network and telephone equipment, providing onsite training when required.

My customer has a national client base and you will predominantly be working within the East Anglia area; although national travel will be required at times.

The candidate will be required to enhance our customer's experience by always exceeding their expectations and by fulfilling our best practices.


The position involves onsite configuration and installation of telecom equipment, handsets, switches and routers.
Surveying customer's premises in preparation for installing data cabling.
To take full responsibility for the complete installation and commissioning of said hardware and software.
Data and Voice cabling at a customer's site when required.
Performing customer education/training onsite and remotely.
Technical support as required, both onsite and internally.
You will need to report progress and issues affecting the work.
You are responsible for ensuring all equipment issued is kept in good working order maintaining calibration and test date.
You will support colleagues with the collective goals of the business, requirements or problems.

Skills & Experience required:

The perfect candidate will have prior experience within a similar role and be able to demonstrate their ability in this field.

We would be looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:

Experience of stock management and reconciliation of stock discrepancies
Experience of producing accurate and regular KPIs to senior management, whilst highlighting trends.
Analytical skills, with the ability to interrogate systems and produce effective solutions
Ability to create, alter or remove processes with the aim of continual Improvement for the business as a whole.
Financial understanding and ability to deliver strategic direction to the business
Excellent administrative skills
Excellent numerical skills
Excellent communication skills at a variety of levels
Ability to forge a good relationship with suppliers
High levels of professionalism and diligence
Customer focus and a 'get it right first time' attitude
Systems experience and understanding
PC and MS Office literate
