Interim Management Accountant
SF Group are currently recruiting a Management Accountant for our Birmingham based Public Sector client for circa 6 months. The successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and budgets, liaising with operational departments to ensure awareness of actual verses budget, and accountable for their funds. You will also be responsible for producing and maintaining project based information and financial analysis as required in order to assist decision making and accountability. Building strong and successful relationships with non-financial staff is essential, to ensure open communication between finance and other departments. Experience of Sage 200 is desirable, however not essential.
This is a great opportunity for an ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified Accountant who has managerial experience, along with financial analysis, relationship building and influencing skills. Excel knowledge to an intermediate level is essential as well as exceptional communication skills especially when conveying finance issues to non-financial people. The applicant will be open minded, well organised and be able to work to tight deadlines. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have good public sector/charity experience and be able to managing a small team.
Our client is a forward thinking public sector organisation that has currently undertaken an operational and financial restructure. This role will provide the challenge of streamlining the finance process to suit the new structure whilst keeping non-finance stakeholders abreast of important financial information.
