Head of Engineering / Maintenance Manager



A leading West Wales employer requires an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team in a key role ensuring the maintenance of machinery and equipment.

We?re looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong leadership skills and demonstrable experience leading, supervising and coordinating a team in planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

- planning, organising and coordinating engineering and maintenance activities on site.

- management of a team of technicians / engineers and an estates team to manage both machinery and facilities

- managing engineering budgets including expenditure, procurement and third party services

- playing an active role in H&S on site, ensuring your team adhere to safe working practices throughout the site

You?ll need strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, to read mechanical and electrical drawings and OEM manuals and will have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

This is a hands on role, requiring you be in good physical health and able to carry out physical tasks and working at heights from time to time.

This is a permanent role, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends, bank holidays as required as well as a later start/finish time during a peak two month period.
