Job Title: Operational Equipment Technician (Fixed Term)
Salary: £23,398 - £24,964 per annum
Job type: Fixed Term for up to 2 years in line with funding

Our client provides a wide range of services, often in partnership and collaboration with others, to the people who live, work and visit the county and aim to achieve excellence in all that they do.
Our client is looking for an experienced technician with an engineering background. As member of a highly effective team of technicians you will be responsible for undertaking repairs, testing and maintenance of operational equipment to support the Service's response capability.
The equipment includes;
- Breathing Apparatus Sets
- Air Compressors
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic Rescue Equipment
- General Fire Fighting Equipment
The role also involves the inspection and maintenance of hydrants across the County's road network. It will be necessary to work with a computerised asset management system, information technology and associated systems.
You should possess:
- City & Guilds/BTEC in Mechanical Service Engineering Level 3 (or equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent experience
- City & Guilds/BTEC in Hydraulic/Pneumatic Service Engineering Level 3 (or equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent experience
In addition, you must have a commitment to work towards a class C1 driving licence.
