About the Role

Due to the continued development of the finance function, a newly created role of Retail Accountant has become available. The role is to add to the support of both Head Office and Store management to achieve their financial targets. The role encompasses the preparation of weekly and monthly reports, the maintenance and management of automated reporting, project financial modelling, support of procurement initiatives and other finance duties as required, including month-end support. A large volume of financial modelling is envisaged.

The role will encompass:

  • Budgeting with a focus on trading
  • Forecasting monthly
  • Preparation of weekly, Monday morning reports
  • Maintenance of “weekly Sales Reports” and database
  • Maintenance of Hourly Sales Graphs and database
  • Management of Weekly Wages Reports
  • Management of SQL produced sales reports
  • Support the Finance Director in procurement savings initiatives
  • Management of credit card transactions
  • Other finance duties as required including strong month-end support

About You:

The successful Retail Accountant will have:

  • Part/fully qualified accountant
  • Finance and accounting experience ideally in Retail
  • High level of numeracy
  • High level of excel modelling skills
  • Experience and knowledge of SQL and Access would be an advantage but not essential
