Subcontracts Ledger Clerk Salary: £20,000-£22,000 [Depending on experience] + permanent benefits Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire ATA are working in partnerships with a leading construction contractor that are looking to recruit an experienced Subcontracts Ledger Clerk to join their team based in the Head Office in Barnsley. This organisation has had year on year growth, a UK Industry leader in their field; with sustained increase of works, they are looking to add to an already established finance team. The Role: You will operate as the key point of contact for subcontractors and be responsible for all subcontractor accounts. Working as part of a team and reporting into the Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include: - Processing subcontractor invoices and payments - Input invoices onto the COINS system - Liaise and communicate with subcontractors and commercial team to enable and ensure smooth processes for payment - Deal with subcontractor enquiries with regards to payment and CIS tax. - Administration and reporting for invoices- scanning and filling. This is a permanent full time position, working hours Monday- Friday 08:00-16:30. Role Requirements: The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a finance function with good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team. You must also have good IT and typing skills and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to tight deadlines. Prior subcontract ledger experience is also essential with good knowledge of the CIS tax system. Please Note: You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position.
