This school in Leicester are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work within their Year 4 class as soon as possible; with view to the staying with them until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate, who has an excellent academic record and future teaching aspirations. You must be confident in your communication methods and secure in your subject knowledge so you are able to inspire struggling students to love their subject. Desirable degree subjects include Maths and English.

In your role as a Year 4 teaching assistant you will be become part of the ambitious KS2 teaching team and will focus initially on working with children working below the national expectation for their year group. You will need to support groups within the class in order for them to achieve their full potential and accelerate their progress. As your confidence grows you will become more involved in the planning and teaching process; working closely with an experienced department teachers, benefitting from the guidance of SLT leaders and SENCO, playing an active part in producing new learning opportunities for pupils.
