Founded in 2013 by experienced researchers, our Client stands out from the crowd. As market researchers, they find out what consumers think and also understand the reasons behind it. Their study design takes a broad perspective, understanding both consumers and media, whilst their output takes the form of compelling reports and attractive infographics all the way through to sophisticated models and market simulators.
They are growing fast and are now looking to add a new Graduate Researcher to their busy team based in Farringdon, London. At their core they are market researchers, so they need you to be able to find out what consumers think and understand the reasons behind it.
As a graduate with Tapestry you?ll quickly gain experience on a wide range of research methodologies and ways of thinking. You will show curiosity as well as the ability to take on and use concepts in challenging and progressive ways. Working alongside friendly experts on a variety of projects and with clients from lots of different backgrounds ? some larger, some smaller, some international and some local, you will be confident and adaptable and able to recognise different.
You might not have thought about market research much before or you could have already decided it?s for you; either way, you?ll have a curious nature and like finding out what?s happening and why it?s happening the way it is.
They?re looking for someone who likes asking lots of annoying questions of themselves and of others, who wants to figure out the answers and tell other people all about them. You?ll be ambitious, motivated and have good communication skills both in writing and in-person. You should have a good grasp of the most commonly used software programs (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and if you?ve used any statistical packages, such as SPSS, it?s a bonus but not a requirement.
On the subject of statistics, don?t let that scare you off too much. You will need to be comfortable with numbers so if you really can?t stand them then this probably isn?t for you. However you don?t need to be a mathematician or econometrician ? they?ve got lots of mathematicians to do the heavy lifting! You will, after some training, need to talk about numbers in context, but you won?t have to actually do it.
