Design Engineer with Hydraulics experience required for well established bespoke manufacturer in Birmingham

A long established, privately owned and bespoke manufacturer based in Birmingham who are undergoing significant growth and are undertaking an array of projects in a wide range of industries including, Oil & Gas, Power generation and Marine. This client is expecting to double turnover in 5 years and was previously voted top manufacturing employer in the Sunday Times top 100 companies to work for.
Your new role
Reporting into a Project Manager, as a Design Engineer you will work autonomously within a team of 5 taking responsibility for an array of projects, taking responsibility for owning and delivering on key projects from concept through to development stage. You will work closely with commercial sales teams and customers as well as sub suppliers and internal Engineering teams. You will assist in the development of a range of pneumatic and hydraulic starting systems whilst also designing from concept bespoke hydraulic systems to be supplied into industries operating in the harshest environments.
What you'll need to succeed
In order for success within this role you will have a proven history designing products and managing projects within a critical and tightly regulated industry, which may be Oil & Gas, Aerospace and Marine to name a few. What is most important is you have a strong grasp of Hydraulics/Pumps/Manifolds/Pneumatic products as strong product knowledge is of most importance in gaining success within this role. The company works to Solidworks however experience of other CAD Packages would still be considered.
